HUSUM WIND 2019 – The German Wind Trade Fair and Congress

17 Oct, 2019 | Return|

This year Norbar joins Husum Wind for the first time in the North of Germany.

The Husum Wind has a long history in the Wind Industry Market. This year was the 30th anniversary of this show.

The first “Husum Wind Energy Days” took place in a livestock auction hall in 1989, back when hardly anyone anywhere in the world was taking wind energy seriously as an economic factor.

It soon became obvious that this town on the windy North Sea had the potential to become a leading exhibition centre, and not just for the wind industry.

A new exhibition hall was completed in 1997, and its infrastructure was constantly improved over the following years.

But that meant that for the show 3-4 Exhibition Tents had to be built each year. At the high point of the show there were 1,123 exhibitors and 35,585 visitors from worldwide.

This exceeded all the possibilities of the given conditions in a small town in North Germany.

2014 was a year of change, WindEnergy Hamburg took over the concept of the fair and since then Norbar have exhibited each time.

Hamburg was more for international/worldwide business (1,482 exhibitors, 35,000 visitors (45% from outside Germany)).

In 2015 Husum Wind went back to its roots and started the show on a smaller scale (651 exhibitors, 17,000 visitors). Most customers came from Germany and Denmark, as Husum is close to the border.

This year Husum had around 600 exhibitors and nearly 18,000 visitors over 4 days.

On our small booth we exhibited the most important products for the wind market and were able to show the customers the strength of Norbar. Focus was on our German customers but we also had

visitors from outside Germany, e.g. Denmark, Sweden, Turkey, UK and others.

On our booth we were able to demonstrate our new EvoTorque® Battery Tool on a new TruCheck™ 2 where we made several demonstrations. Customers were impressed by our step forward into this product range and were looking forward to receiving further demonstrations.

We are happy that we were able to increase our network in Germany and looking forward to future business in the wind market sector.
